West Palm Beach, FL (September 3, 2023) – Authorities are seeking additional information after a woman was killed on Saturday night in West Palm Beach.

Police said that a 50-year-old woman was sitting along Broadway Avenue when a 2019 Hyundai Sonata hit her. According to police, they received the report of the collision at around 10:55 p.m.

The 22-year-old suspect was traveling south on Broadway in the inside lane when he saw the woman. The motorist swerved to miss the victim, but he hit her instead, sending her car into the concrete median. When he realized he had struck the woman, he returned to the site.

The West Palm Beach Fire Department rushed the victim to St. Mary’s Medical Center, but she succumbed to her injuries.

Anybody with information regarding the crash should contact Dan Dillard with the West Palm Beach Police Department.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing in the meantime.

Our deepest condolences go out to the deceased woman’s loved ones.
