Should I accept the insurance settlement offer because if I sue for more I have to give one third to a lawyer?

That is a great question, and I’m asked that very often. It’s my experience that lawyers are usually able to prove damages much better than the average person, and they’re able to convince the insurance company that the claim is worth so much more than what they’re offering the non-lawyer that the injured party ends up collecting more money, even after the attorney’s fees is withdrawn.
