Pompano Beach, FL – Motorcyclist Killed, Two Hurt in Atlantic Blvd Wreck

Pompano Beach, FL - Motorcyclist Killed, Two Hurt in Atlantic Blvd Wreck

Pompano Beach, FL (October 27, 2023) – The Broward Sheriff’s Office said they are still looking into an accident that killed a motorcyclist on Wednesday near Pompano Beach.

At 12:40 p.m. on West Atlantic Boulevard, in the 2300 block, the accident occurred. Local news footage showed a silver vehicle and a crashed motorcycle in the eastbound lanes of the road at a left-turn-only crossroads with an access road for a Walmart Supercenter.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit conducted preliminary on-scene investigation and determined that the biker, a 45-year-old man, was involved in a crash with a 2023 Nissan Sentra driven by a 64-year-old man. When the Sentra crossed into the motorcyclist’s lane of travel, the two vehicles collided in a T-bone wreck.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Both the other driver and his passenger, a 70-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were sent to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the accident is still unknown.

Our deepest condolences are with the deceased man’s family. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families.
