Pembroke Pines, FL - Victim Hurt in Encino Apt Fire on SW 15th St

Pembroke Pines, FL (December 21, 2023) – Firefighters responded on Thursday morning to an apartment building fire in Pembroke Pines, and at least one person was reportedly hurt. The incident took place at the Encino Apartments, located at 14927 SW 15th Street, on the north side of the building. At around 8:00 a.m., firefighters reported to the site and extinguished the flames over the next hour.

The fire began in the rear of the building, which officials said impacted mostly a bedroom and a patio. The fire severely damaged the building, but the resident of the affected apartment was able to escape without serious injuries. The victim was evaluated by EMTs for smoke inhalation and minor burns. An investigation remains active, however, and no further details about the blaze have been released.

Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their loved ones at this time.
