Pembroke Pines, FL – Five Hospitalized in University Dr Crash

Pembroke Pines, FL (October 28, 2023) – Four vehicles collided in Pembroke Pines on Thursday night, sending five individuals to the hospital, most in critical condition.

At about 11:00 p.m., three vehicles and a lawn service truck crashed near the corner of University Drive and Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines, as reported by Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue Division Chief Jason Stepp. The maintenance truck was tipped over by the impact, and two of the cars were severely damaged.

Stepp said that fire rescue had freed three persons from two vehicles and sent them to the hospital, including two who had trauma alerts.

Officers are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and have not released further details in the meantime.
