Palm Beach, FL - Two-Car Collision, Injuries Shut Down FL Trnpke

Palm Beach, FL (November 7, 2023) – According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR), one person was brought to the hospital after a two-car collision that shut down all southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike.

The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue team was sent to an accident on the southbound Florida Turnpike around 2:20 p.m. on  Sunday.

The wreck occurred near Mile Marker 90, not far from Boynton Beach Boulevard. PBCFR said that the incident necessitated the deployment of the jaws of life to extricate one victim from their car.

Florida 511 tweeted that traffic was backed up to Exit 93 at Lake Worth Road as a result of the collision. No further details were released in the interim.

Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their family members.
