Palm Beach Co, FL – Six Victims Hurt in Bicycle Accident on Ocean Blvd

Palm Beach County, FL (January 7, 2024) – A driver and a group of bikers were involved in an accident near Gulf Stream early Thursday morning, according to authorities from Delray Beach. The collision occurred on North Ocean Boulevard, just in front of Gulf Stream Golf Club, shortly after 6:00 a.m., per troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 77-year-old Lantana woman was reportedly traveling south on North Ocean Boulevard in a 2020 Kia Soul, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol, when she struck a group of eight cyclists riding side by side in the northbound lane. Six of the bicyclists, three of whom sustained traumatic injuries, were hospitalized at Delray Medical Center. The driver was also hurt and taken to the hospital. It’s unclear if citation or charges are pending, but the FHP is still investigating at this time.
