Miami Gardens, FL - Woman Airlifted, Man Killed in US 441 Accident

Miami Gardens, FL (November 2, 2023) – One person was killed, and another was seriously injured in a serious collision in Miami Gardens early Thursday morning, November 2.

At around 2:50 a.m. on Thursday, U.S. Highway 441 was shut down in both directions between Northwest 215th Street and Northwest 207th Street due to an accident.

Investigators say a Toyota Highlander and an Infiniti vehicle crashed head-on, and cell phone video shows black smoke rising from the scene.

Officials say a man was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman who had been trapped in the other car was freed by firefighters, and she was immediately airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center by medical helicopter for treatment of her burns.

As of Thursday afternoon, authorities still hadn’t released any information about the victims’ identities.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families.
