Miami, FL – Woman Killed in Train Collision Near Atlantic Blvd in Pompano
Miami, FL (February 2, 2024) – Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office released further details on Friday after a woman was pronounced dead following a train accident in Pompano Beach Tuesday night.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported at 9:35 p.m. near Atlantic Boulevard and Dixie Highway. BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue crews responded to the area. Detectives say the front of the train struck the driver’s side of the Lexus in a “T-bone” type collision, pushing it sideways through the grade crossing. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. An investigation is still ongoing, but officials asked any witnesses to step forward.
