Miami, FL - Woman Hit & Killed, Baby Hurt in Collision on Biscayne

Miami, FL (February 14, 2024) – On Wednesday afternoon, a woman was killed in Miami’s Edgewater area when she was hit by a dump truck while pushing her baby in a stroller on Biscayne Boulevard. The 6-month-old baby boy was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital after the wreck occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. at Biscayne’s intersection with Northeast 22nd Street.

The 33-year-old woman pushing the stroller was struck and trapped under the truck. The police report states that the woman, the baby, and another pedestrian crossed in front of stopped traffic. According to officers, the truck driver failed to notice the pedestrians in front of him and hit them. A section of Biscayne Boulevard was temporarily closed while authorities investigated the crash, though no further details were reported.

Our sincerest condolences are with the deceased woman’s family members. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families.
