Miami, FL - Wiljames St. Hilaires Dies in DUI Accident on 188th St

Miami, FL (January 9, 2024) – A 25-year-old man has been charged after allegedly causing a crash that killed a 45-year-old man while under the influence of alcohol, per authorities.

The victim, Wiljames St. Hilaires, died of blunt force trauma in an accident in Miami Gardens just after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. The incident occurred at Northwest 188th Street and Fifth Avenue after two vehicles collided at the intersection. According to the arrest warrant, the suspect was emitting a strong odor of alcohol. He was treated for minor injuries before being taken into custody, authorities stated. Officers are continuing to investigate, however, and have not provided further details publicly.
