Miami, FL – Shakira Mozie Identified in Fatal Collision on FL Trnpke

Miami, FL - Shakira Mozie Identified in Fatal Collision on FL Trnpke

Miami, FL (January 11, 2024) – New details have emerged after detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office said a teacher was found dead after falling off a moving car on the Florida Turnpike.

Detectives have been investigating the death of Shakira Mozie, a 34-year-old woman who allegedly was killed in a crash on the Turnpike and found dead by officers. BSO detectives say Mozie’s partner was the only other person believed to be in the car with Mozie just moments before she was found dead. Deputies said the driver was not at the scene when first responders arrived. However, detectives have not filed citations or charges and asked anyone with information about the case to call Broward County Crime Stoppers.

We extend our sincere condolences to Shakira Mozie’s family.
