Miami, FL – One Dead, One Hospitalized in Truck Crash on I-95

Miami, FL - One Dead, One Hospitalized in Truck Crash on I-95

Miami, FL (November 24, 2023) – On Friday morning, the I-95 northbound lanes were closed for hours in Broward County due to a fatal car collision.

At around 6:20 a.m. in the morning, a multi-vehicle accident occurred at Exit 25 close to Marina Mile Boulevard, which caused a traffic bottleneck at Exit 23 close to Griffin Road. A Volvo tractor-trailer carrying a trailer was involved in a collision with a Nissan Altima, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Volvo hit a makeshift concrete median wall due to the impact, and the driver was killed when the Volvo caught fire. Firefighters from Fort Lauderdale took another victim to Broward Health. No information was made public about their condition. An investigation into the collision is already underway.

We extend our sincere condolences to the deceased victim’s family. Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their families at this time.
