Miami, FL – Man Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run on Biscayne Blvd

Miami, FL - Man Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run on Biscayne Blvd

Miami, FL (December 23, 2023) – Authorities in Miami’s Edgewater area said that the driver of a passenger vehicle hit a motorcyclist and then fled the scene shortly thereafter. The man suffered serious injuries in the crash, prompting rescue workers to transport him to a local hospital.

On Saturday morning, units from the Miami Fire Rescue and Police Departments were sent to the site of a hit-and-run accident that had occurred near the intersection of Biscayne Boulevard and 36th Street. Witnesses say the driver ran a red light around 7:30 a.m. and struck the man shortly thereafter. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center by paramedics and is now classified in serious condition. No description of the suspect vehicle has been released by the authorities, though anybody else with information was asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.

Our best wishes and hopes for a full recovery go out to the injured man and his loved ones.
