Miami, FL – Man Electrocuted, Killed By Falling Wires on NW 73rd St
Miami, FL (September 13, 2023) – A man was found dead in northwest Miami-Dade after being electrocuted by falling wires when a transformer burst, according to investigators.
The apparent electrocution occurred at 830 NW 73rd Street at 5:45 a.m., prompting the dispatch of rescue crews.
A man in his 60s was discovered by emergency personnel upon their arrival. Officers said he was declared dead at the scene.
Per officials’ initial investigation, the man and another person were walking to work when the accident happened, and the power lines hit the victim.
As police began their investigation, they closed off the area and requested assistance from local officials. No further details have been released.
