Miami, FL – Man Dead in Hit-and-Run at 27th Ave & Flagler St

Miami, FL (January 18, 2024) – The Miami police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the vehicle they believe fled the scene after a crash after hitting a man on Wednesday evening.

Right around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, units of the Miami Fire Rescue and Miami Police Department (PDF) were sent to the scene near the junction of 27th Avenue and West Flagler Street in Miami. The victim passed away after being transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Detectives are now seeking a dark-colored, newer model SUV—possibly a Ford—in connection with the wreck.
