Miami, FL – Driver Injured in Hit-and-Run on NW 27th Ave at SR 836

Miami, FL - Driver Injured in Hit-and-Run on NW 27th Ave at SR 836

Miami, FL (December 8, 2023) – On Friday morning, traffic was delayed for several hours on NW 27th Avenue, near State Road 836/Dolphin Expressway, due to a hit-and-run accident.

At approximately 4:40 a.m. in the morning, authorities said they received a report about an accident between a red sedan and a black SUV. Upon arrival, the responding police saw a red Toyota parked in the center of the intersection of NW 27th Avenue and 11th Street. The driver of that vehicle was injured severely and hospitalized, a representative for Miami police said. The SUV that was involved in the accident was located a short distance away, but officers stated that the driver fled from the scene. Police are now searching for the SUV’s driver and asked witnesses to get in touch.

Our thoughts go out to the injured victim and his loved ones.
