Miami, FL - Driver Crashes Through Storefront on 119th St; 2 Injured

Miami, FL (November 17, 2023) – On Friday, November 17th, a car careened through the front window of a North Miami nail salon. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and officers from the North Miami Police Department were dispatched to the scene, in the area of 119th Street and Northwest Seventh Ave at about 4:45 p.m.

Surveillance video shows the driver of the vehicle pulling into a parking space and then suddenly plowing through the shop’s plate glass window. The sedan came to a stop fully inside the shop sending broken glass flying. Official reports show that the driver said he stepped on the gas by mistake.

Two people who were inside the nail salon when the incident happened sustained injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. One of the victims, an adult female, reportedly had shards of glass in her leg.
