Miami, FL – Deadly Vehicle Accident Reported at 27th Ave & 88th St

Miami, FL (September 11, 2023) – A shooting and subsequent crash at Northwest 79th Street in Northwest Miami-Dade on Monday has resulted in a police investigation.

Video from the site near Northwest 27th Avenue showed a damaged white automobile and an apparently deceased victim, as well as multiple Miami-Dade Police officers and a Crime Site Investigation van.

One of the drivers, an adult woman, was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition, while a man with a gunshot wound was sent to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

The police have not verified the details surrounding the incident, but it’s possible that it is related to a separate accident at a gas station on Northwest 88th Street. Officers also responded to that site and located a white pick-up vehicle off the side of 27th Avenue, close to 67th Street. Authorities have blocked off a section of 27th Avenue as they look into the truck accident.

The appropriate authorities have been informed for further investigation.
