Ft Lauderdale, FL - Three Workers Hurt in Scaffold Collapse on 27th Ave

Fort Lauderdale, FL (January 4, 2024) – Three people were hospitalized after scaffolding collapsed on a Fort Lauderdale construction site on Thursday morning, January 4.

Emergency personnel arrived at the site of the incident, the 400 block of Southwest 27th Avenue, shortly thereafter. The victims were taken to the hospital by paramedics. According to officials, the third patient is listed as stable, while two others are in serious condition. The cause of the collapse remains unknown, but construction on the property has been temporarily stalled while the inquiry is ongoing.
