Florida City, FL – Man Injured, Dragged By Two Dogs in Attack on NW 10th St

Florida City, FL - Man Injured, Dragged By Two Dogs in Attack on NW 10th St

Florida City, FL (January 26, 2024) – A dog attack occurred in the Florida City area of Miami-Dade County on Wednesday, leaving a man injured after two canines dragged him from his wheelchair.

According to witnesses and neighbors, one of the dogs had a reputation for bites in the past. Officers say the incident took place on Wednesday afternoon in the area of Northwest 10th Street and Fifth Avenue. The victim, who was on his way to a nearby corner store, required arm surgery, though he is expected to recover. The Miami-Dade Animal Services assumed possession of the two canines on Friday night, pending a determination regarding euthanasia. An investigation is ongoing in the interim.

Our thoughts are with the injured man and his loved ones. We hope for his full recovery.
